Design A Doodad: Storytelling for Spaces (PM)

  • Philadelphia Small Works Gallery 1609 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 Philadelphia, PA, 19123 United States (map)

Do you have a collection of artwork or photographs that haven’t found a place on a wall? With a bit of experience as an exhibition designer, we’ll inspire you to fill your walls (or gallery) in no time! Join us on August 22nd at 5:30 pm.

Traditional storytellers use text, spoken word, or images to share stories. Exhibition designers tell stories by designing an experience by thinking of two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces in an environment on behalf of one point of view or a collective. Whether in museums, galleries, or unexpected places, the exhibition experience was designed to help you appreciate a body of work.

Take a collection of artworks we have ready for you to design an environment and experience to tell a story within a scale model when you join us at Philadelphia Small Works Gallery. Meet exhibition designer and founder, Natalia Quinteros, then design + build your model exhibition!

Registration includes:

  • two-hour session with intro + instruction with guest designer

  •  materials and tools to design your model exhibition

  • snacks/beverages
